AI phone agents: what the evidence shows.
Every figure below comes from a published third-party case study or industry report, named and dated to the study it came from.
Every ring that goes to voicemail is a customer already dialing the next contractor.
Both figures come from one published third-party case study — ServiceTitan and Northwinds Services Group, 10 February 2026. The source states a range for the booking rate, and we quote the range rather than picking a number inside it. Northwinds runs 20 brands and a 25-person call center, so they are larger than most of the businesses reading this. What transfers is not the scale: it is that a call arriving while everyone is busy either gets answered or it does not.
The number that decides this is one you already have
We are not going to tell you what a missed call costs you. We do not know your average ticket, your close rate, or how many calls you are losing right now — and any figure we invented would be worth exactly what you paid for it.
Here is the whole arithmetic, and we do it with you on the call using your numbers: calls in per month, the share that go to voicemail or ring out, the share of answered calls that turn into booked jobs, and your average ticket. Four numbers. If what they produce is small, we will tell you so and neither of us wastes the time.
It answers
First ring, at any hour, and it does not get busy. Calls, texts and web forms — the ones that arrive while everyone is on a job, after five, and on Saturday.
It finds out what the job is
The same questions your best office person asks, in the words your customers use. Whether it is running at all, when it started, whether anyone is at risk — and whether this is an emergency or something that can wait until Tuesday.
It books it and writes it down
It fits the job around what is already on the board and writes the details, captured once, into the system your office already works out of. Anything to do with money, and anything urgent, goes to one of your people instead.
This is one automation, not a platform. The build covers the single thing worth the most to you, and for most service businesses that is the phone. It does not replace the job management software you already run.
Questions we get every time.
Does this replace the dispatch software we already run?
No. It writes the job into the system your office already works out of rather than replacing it. Where that system is one we support, the connection is part of the build. Where it is not, it still goes live through a fallback and connecting your specific system is separate work — we tell you which one you are before you pay us, not after.
What does it cost, and what does that buy?
We do not publish a price, because the honest one depends on what we find. It starts with a scoping call on your real workflows — what you run, where the time goes, and which single automation is worth the most to you. You get a defined deliverable and a fixed price out of that, and you approve the scope before anything gets built.
Is that booking rate something you guarantee for our business?
It is from a published third-party case study, named and dated in the sources below. Results vary by call volume, service mix and market, so what is realistic for your business is a conversation after an intro call, worked from your own numbers.
What happens when a caller wants a real person?
It hands off — with the whole conversation attached, so the customer never repeats themselves. Escalation rules are yours: which call types always route to a human, who is on call, and what happens after hours.
Can it tell an emergency from a routine job?
Triage runs against your priority rules, not a generic script — the no-heat call in February and the routine maintenance request get handled differently, and genuine emergencies escalate to your on-call tech instead of sitting in a queue.
What happens if we stop working with you?
Your data is yours — exportable any time, deleted on request. The system is ours to run for you. The build is fixed-scope and agreed in writing before we start, and the operating plan is month-to-month with no lock-in. Stop the plan and the system stops running; you leave with your data. See how we work for the full picture on scope and process.
Do we need someone technical on staff to run it?
No. It runs against the tools you already use, and we handle monitoring and changes under the operating plan. If you do have someone technical, they get full access rather than a black box.
Does this mean we need fewer people in the office?
That is not what we sell and not what we believe. The calls nobody could get to now get answered. The people you have spend their time on the work that needs a person, which is most of it.
